Verdict. The EC5 Plus is the sturdy step of FlexiSpot's EC family: a three-stage dual motor with T-legs and a steel frame, aimed at anyone who wants real standing stability without paying the premium E range. It holds 120 kg, rises from 60 to 125 cm —a wide range from short to tall users— and brings a four-memory panel, anti-collision, and a USB-C/USB-A charging port. Its weak point is speed: 25 mm/s with a dual motor isn't fast, and it shows against the 38-50 mm/s of the high end. Against the EC5 Pro we already list, the Plus reinforces frame and load; against single-motor entry desks, it's another level of firmness. It's sold as a frame, no tabletop, so you have to budget for that. For a serious setup at a contained price, it's a very balanced base.

What the community says

EC-series reviews highlight the sturdiness of the three-section steel frame and T-legs, standing stability, and the good panel with memories and USB. The recurring criticism is the lift speed, slower than the E range, and that the tabletop is bought separately. For the price, the rating is high.

Good fit

  • Anyone who wants a three-stage dual motor without paying premium
  • Anyone running several monitors or heavy gear (up to 120 kg)
  • Anyone picking their own tabletop who values standing stability

Not ideal for

  • Anyone who wants the high end's fast rise
  • Anyone after a complete, ready-to-use desk
  • Anyone who doesn't want to add the tabletop cost

Strengths

  • Three-stage dual motor with steel T-legs
  • 120 kg load and wide range (60-125 cm)
  • Panel with 4 memories, anti-collision, and USB-C/USB-A
  • Very stable at standing height at a mid-range price

Weaknesses

  • Slow speed (25 mm/s) for a dual motor
  • Sold without a tabletop: extra cost
  • Noise level and weight not published
