Verdict. The E5 is FlexiSpot's most affordable three-stage dual motor: under 180 euros in frame form, you get what many brands charge a lot more for. It rises at 35 mm/s, smooth and under 50 dB, and the 60-125 cm range is among the wide ones, so it fits almost any height. It holds 100 kg, enough for two monitors and accessories, and the frame is 2 mm SPCC steel. The panel has four memories and anti-collision. It's not as stable or as fast as the oval-legged E8 —the finish is plainer and the load a bit lower— but for the price it's hard to ask for more. As always with a frame, the tabletop is a separate purchase. With a 5-year warranty, it's one of the best bases for building a standing desk without overspending.

What the community says

Reviews agree it's one of the best entry buys in dual motor: it rises fast and smooth, assembles well, and holds a two-monitor setup without meaningful wobble. Complaints center on the tabletop being a separate purchase and on it not being as firm as high-end frames at max height under heavy load.

Good fit

  • Anyone who wants a three-stage dual motor on a budget
  • Anyone who needs a wide height range (60-125 cm)
  • Anyone who picks their own tabletop

Not ideal for

  • Anyone who wants a complete, ready-to-use desk
  • Anyone who needs the maximum load and stability of the high end
  • Anyone who doesn't want to add the cost of a tabletop

Strengths

  • Three-stage dual motor under 180 EUR (frame)
  • Wide height range (60-125 cm)
  • Rises at 35 mm/s, smooth and under 50 dB
  • 2 mm SPCC steel frame
  • 5-year warranty on the frame

Weaknesses

  • Sold without a tabletop: extra cost
  • Less load (100 kg) and stability than the high end
  • Plain finish, no premium extras
